Moving

We are going to be moving to another house in our city soon.  It is not far from where we live and it is really not a big deal.  We made the mistake of talking to our girls about this a few weeks ago.  It was a big mistake that we have been paying for the last several weeks.  Pretty much everday we have a conversation like this:

Little Sojourner: "Are we moving today?!"

Daddy & Mommy: "Not today.  It still isn't for a while.  You don't need to worry about it.  We'll tell you when it's time."

Little Sojourner: "Are we going on a plane?"

Daddy & Mommy: "No, we are just moving to another house here in the same city we already live in.  It's not very far.  Remember we took you there?"

Little Sojourner: "Oh, yeah!  Are we bringing my toys?"

Daddy & Mommy: "Yes, we are bringing your toys.  We are bringing ALL of our things."

Little Sojourner: Are we bringing ____________?"

Daddy & Mommy: "Yes, we are bringing your _________. We are bringing ALL of our things."

Little Sojourner: Are we bringing ____________?"

Daddy & Mommy: "Yes, we are bringing your _________. We are bringing ALL of our things."

Little Sojourner: Are we bringing ____________?"

Daddy & Mommy: "Yes, we are bringing your _________. We are bringing ALL of our things."

You get the point.  It is getting to be a pain in the butt frustrating.  But, we love the litte squirt anyways.

***Moral of the story: don't tell a 4 year old, whose only memory of moving was leaving behind EVERYTHING she ever knew, that you are going to be moving soon.  Not a good idea.***
